Looks like a great start to the season for the `Necks with a decisive win against the Eagles. Congrats on the W and doing the Gate proud!

Thanks for the kudos!

Yeah I always root for Gateway teams when playing non conference opponents as well.

Especially when they go up against 1-A teams. I know WIU will have their hands full when they go to Wisconsin. Just hope it's a competitive game and that nobody gets hurt up there.

Definitely look forward to the conference schedule. Looks like there will be a lot of strong teams in the Gateway this year. I think your squad, UNI, and Youngstown will be very tough this year.

And I think Illinois State could challenge as well. Think this is one of the more balanced years of the Gateway.

Should be fun!

Thanks for the congrats.. WIU did look pretty good on offense, but on D they have some work to do. I was told that a couple of their linebackers were held out of that game, so maybe that in itself will improve things as the season rolls along.

Attendance was pretty good. I think the crowd was announced at 10,000. Seemed like there was more there since both sides of the field looked pretty darn full to me, and we had our endzone areas full of students as well.

Hope the attendance keeps up -- though I'm sure a lot will depend upon the weather and as well as if WIU going to have a good season or not.

I'm hoping they'll contend at least -- but from what I've seen so far -- the Gateway is really tough this year. (probably more depth than in some years past, and that's saying something).
