as I posted over at sycnation.com if ISU had 11 guys who played like this kid does, then ISU would win more than one freakin' game per year. How does the absolute WORST team defensively in all of I-AA FB wind up with the national defensive player of the week? It's beyond me, but the kid had a great game obviously.

Jones tallied a career-high 19 tackles as Indiana State snapped a 24-game losing skid by knocking off Missouri State, 28-22...Also set career highs with four tackles for a loss and two sacks...Final sack helped save the victory, as he brought down Missouri State quarterback Tyler Horner on the Bears’ final drive.

My God, giving up 60, 31, and now 59 points in 3 weeks?? End it now! give that extra money to Basketball and some of the other more deserving sports.

ISU lost to a bad Murray State team today 59-40, unreal. The only thing we have left to accomplish is to go after the all time losses in a row record. Anyone know what it is??? Doesn't Prairie View A & M have it?

interesting note about ISU's FB schedule. If they don't step it up, it's gonna be a long, awful season again.

NOTES: All 11 opponents for the Sycamores (including I-A schools Purdue and Northern Illinois) were either ranked or receiving votes in the earliest preseason college football polls … Four Gateway schools were ranked in the The Sports Network Top 25 released on Monday … Though not listed in the official release, the Sycamores received two votes (team had to have had at least five votes to be included on the official press release … WHAT??? I can hardly believe this????
