Hi..nice to see you all here. It's great we have forums up to talk football in the Gateway -- after all I think it's still the best 1-AA conference going!
As for WIU, offensively I think we will be fine. LaFalce seems to be hitting his stride as a QB and should provide decent senior leadership at that position.
Defensively is where I think we might have some troubles. We played Morehead ST. tonight. Not exactly a Big 10 team (which we will be playing next time) but they were able to move the ball pretty effectively against our D. The final score was something like 31-6, but it wasn't like our defense was shutting Morehead St. down or anything.
They'd better tighten it up pretty quick-like before the Wisconsin game. And also for Gateway Conference play as well.
Good luck to you WKU folks too. Btw, I heard a rumor you guys were thinking of going D-1, er, Bowl Tourney (or whatever they're calling it next year!) division. Is that true?

Things are pointing to that direction yeah. With the upgrades to the staduim and talk from the prez and AD abot taking the program to the next level.....it sure sounds like it! We shall see.
