With NDSU and SDSU coming into their first year in the Gateway, what are your realistic thoughts on their first year in the conference? Record? Triumphs? Struggles? I'm a die hard NDSU fan but I won't talk any smack until the BISON get their feet wet and start winning a few in the conference. Until then, good luck to all the teams in 2008 because you'll need it when you play the BISON! (sorry, had to do it)

it will be an amazing year with every home game selling out for NDSU. Please, travel with your team to the FFD. It has grown into an amazing college football atmosphere. The tailgating is top notch in FCS if not one of the best, the Fargodome is one of the best stadiums in the FCS. You definitely won't be dissapointed on your way back home....even if your team loses  haha

I think NDSU will be competitive most games. I don't know as much about SDSU.

Hey Skinny,
Just remember who won the Great West Football Conference this year, and gave NDSU their only loss on the season. (I know that it still gets to the bison fans  ).
SDSU will be a good team in the Gateway, but I will not say they will dominate. The gateway is going to be a tough @ss conference. Im not going to pick a winner, I just hope SDSU will be in the running.
Thanks for letting us join the conference. The chance at a gateway title and having a shot to get an autobid is fantastic. I can't wait to learn more about our conference foes. Just wish I lived a little closer so I could make it to some games.

This board has been pretty dead for a while. Don't expect much action here. Good luck to you guys. The Gateway is a tough conference that just got tougher. I'm looking forward to next year.

I'm very excited to see how the XDSUs do in their first year in the Gateway. I'm hoping to see a good NDSU contingency when the Bison come down to Springfield this fall.

I too am excited for August to come. Both SDSU and NDSU will be very competitive and have a fair shot at taking the title. Looking at last year, SDSU played 3 Gateway teams, and all three games were very competitive. IMHO SDSU should have won two of those, but shoulda, coulda, woulda doesn't matter. Will be a very interesting year.

The addition of the Dakota schools only makes the league tougher. I'm all for it.
